Oscar Ocaña
PresidentPUB 303Phone: 359-2547Email: asewupresident@ewu.edu"Almost" is not enough when we talk about advocacy for education and personal success. At Eastern Washington University, we know this fact and each one of us, student leaders, faculty, staff, administrators, and EWU alumni, has contributed to the growth of our institution and community. My name is Oscar Ocaña. I am an international student born and raised in Durango, Mexico, first in my family to seek higher education, the oldest of three brothers, and proudly serving as president of Associated Students of EWU. I believe strongly that together as a community and institution we can create opportunities for those who fight everyday to make their dreams into success. Success that one day will become the dream of many. After obtaining my BA with a major in Economics, I plan to return to Mexico to make a difference in the lives of the people in my homeland improving the educational system in Mexico by establishing a faculty and student exchange program between Community Colleges of Spokane, EWU, and Mexican universities.

Kaleb Hoffer
Finance Vice PresidentPUB 303Phone: 509-359-6538Fax: 509-359-4737Email: asewufinancevp@ewu.eduSomeone once asked me: What is the most important lesson you have learned in your life so far? I responded by saying "always take advantage of every opportunity that presents its self no matter how valuable it may seem at the time." I believe being a member of ASEWU is one of those opportunities. My name is Kaleb Hoffer and I grew up in Moses Lake, WA. I was team captain of my high school Cross Country and Track team before going to community college. At BBCC I quickly became the president of Phi Theta Kappa. While in college, I was a warehouse manager and then moved on to become an Intern Accountant. I quickly realized I would need more education if I wanted to go further in life and found my way to Cheney to attend the business program here at EWU. I am proud to say I am an Eagle and hope to leave a big impact before I graduate.
