CHENEY, Wash. - All Eastern Washington University staff, faculty and friends (students, too) are invited to combine their culinary talents with their literary tastes and enter the EWU Friends of the Library's (FOL) Books2Eat event on Wednesday, May 25, at the JFK Library.

Every spring, the FOL puts on this free just-for-fun event as a means to bring people to the library and just have a good time together. Those who wish to create a confection based upon a favorite book - Winnie the Pooh, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, the Twilight saga or anything else. Let your imagination run wild. Entries will be judged by the public (that's you!), 1-3 p.m., as well as by a more-or-less professional panel from the FOL - and two prize winners will be announced.

And then everything is cut up and eaten by all in attendance.

"We hope to see a lot of entries from the Eastern community," said Harriet Plucker, FOL member and organizer of the event. "We always have a lot of hungry students at Books2Eat, so please help us to keep our tradition going. And, of course, the entire EWU family is invited to enjoy the sweet treats. Forks will be provided."
