Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society

Phi Eta Sigma was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois to encourage and recognize high scholastic achievement among members of the university freshman class. See www.phietasigma.org for more information.
The Honors Program administers the EWU Chapter of PES. Membership is limited to full time students who have earned a 3.5 or better grade point average at the end of Fall or Winter quarter of their freshman year.
Students who qualify receive an invitation, by mail, in early spring. There is a deadline to submit the form and lifetime membership fee. The evening induction ceremony is held in late May at Hargreaves Hall.
