Academic Advising The General Undergraduate Academic Advising Office assists each student in making informed choices with regard to general education requirements, university graduation requirements, academic majors and elective coursework.
Academic Success Center (ASC) offers services that address the needs of enrolled EWU students helping them persist and graduate with a four-year degree. The ASC cultivates unique learning opportunities for students through collaborative learning sessions, tutoring, academic success courses, financial literacy, and advising.
Career Services at Eastern Washington University provides the resources to assist students and alumni with all of their job and career search needs, including major selection, internships, community service, full-time employment, career counseling, and much, much more.
Eastern Advantage is a personal academic support program that provides first-generation college students with the tools and resources necessary to succeed in achieving their goal of attaining a college degree. Scholarships of $1,500 are available for participants and include individualized academic advising, a college transition course and peer mentoring which support academic and personal development in students.
Honors Program courses and activities seek to develop thorough knowledge and appreciation of the liberal arts and sciences; cultivate excellent writing, calculation and critical thinking skills; and inspire an attitude of self-responsibility, lifelong intellectual development, and engagement with the world.
Mathematics Tutoring Lab is staffed daily by tutors who are undergraduate majors & graduate students that have demonstrated high academic standards in mathematics courses. All EWU students enrolled in a math course or those students who would like to improve their mathematical competency are encouraged to take advantage of this free drop-in tutor lab.
Writers' Center is OPEN TO ANY WRITER in the Eastern Washington University community, offers FREE one-to-one 50-minute sessions, is staffed by PROFESSIONALS who respond to writing at any stage (brainstorming, revisions, reflection), and engages in THOUGHTFUL RESPONSES on academic coursework, creative writing, resumes and personal statements, applications, grants, and professional scholarship.
