Accepting or Rejecting Your Award

  • Complete, sign, date and return one complete copy of the Financial Aid Notification (FAN) within 30 days. Your signature on the Financial Aid Notification (FAN) certifies you have read, understood, and agree to adhere to the poliices and expectations detailed on this web site. Retain the second copy for your records. Please return one copy of the FAN to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office even if you are rejecting all aid or not attending Eastern Washington University. Aid offers not accepted within 30 days are subject to cancellation and may not be reinstated.

  • Check your Eagles e-mail frequently for notice of award revisions. Your e-mail address can be updated in EagleNET.  If you do not have an EWU-assigned e-mail, you will be notified of award revisions by mail.

  • If you are a first-time financial aid recipient at EWU, read, sign, date and return the Disbursement Authorization form that accompanies your FAN within 30 days.
