The Tieje
The Ralph Teije, Jr. Endowment is awarded to an English major in the fourth year on the basis of scholarship and character. In 2009, the amount awarded was $1,350.
The Kleiner
The Harold and Verna Kleiner Memorial Fund is used for the purpose of awarding an annual scholarship to a worthy and deserving student in the English Department of EWU. The selection of the scholarship recipient and amount is determined jointly by the uiversity's board of trustees and English Department faculty. In 2009, the amount awarded was $375.
The Colton-Huston Scholarship
The Colton-Huston Scholarship will be awarded each year to no more than four female undergraduate English majors who are studying either American or English literature in a traditional Literary Studies Program or in the Secondary English Education Program. Students in other English majors and programs offered by Eastern Washington University's English Department are not eligible for these scholarships.
