ACTFL testing for teaching certification

All candidates for teaching certification in World Languages are now required to pass the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Written and Oral proficiency tests. Candidates must attain at least an Advanced Low level on both tests for certification. As of Summer 2010 EWU has functioned as a site for ACTFL testing. Arrangements to take both tests in the Language Resource Center (Cheney Hall 211) can be made through Language Testing International. Testing is done on the first Friday of every month (except August). Teaching candidates should pass these proficiency test BEFORE beginning student teaching. See the attached flyer for more information.
