Eastern's Jazz Program is one of the most exciting and progressive in the Northwest! In addition to performing music from the standard jazz big band repertory, three groups perform new literature for jazz ensembles, including works by nationally and internationally recognized composers and arrangers, as well as compositions and arrangements by the outstanding faculty and students at Eastern. In addition to performing regular concerts on campus, the EWU Jazz Ensembles are active performing throughout the Northwest on tour and at conferences.

Jazz Dialogue Northwest is an exciting three day jazz festival that occurs each November. Nationally renowned artists such as the Woody Herman Orchestra and Kurt Elling are featured in nightly concerts and master classes.
