Athletic Training Education Program
This program is based in the sciences of anatomy and physiology, kinesiology and athletic training. It allows students to learn by incorporating contemporary and traditional techniques and technologies in the classroom and clinical experiences and to work collaboratively with peers and allied health care professionals.
Community Health
The Community Health Program is a behaviorally-based program in which students will learn to design, implement and evaluate programs and activities that improve the health of all people. Majors of this program use a wellness approach to health promotion; emphasizing the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and environmental aspects of health.
Exercise Science
Exercise science is the study of physiological and functional adaptations to movement. Including general study in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, exercise physiology and fitness programming.
Health and Fitness
The Health and Fitness (physical education) Program at Eastern Washington University involves teaching people how to maintain and improve their health.
Outdoor Recreation
The outdoor recreation degree is one of the most exciting and adventuresome professional degree programs at any public university in America. This program is fully accredited by the National Recreation and Parks Association.
Recreation Management
Students learn how to program and manage private, public and nonprofit enterprises. They learn both business and recreational skills
Therapeutic Recreation
Therapeutic recreation specialists are involved in helping individuals with disabilities or illnesses learn the skills necessary to develop satisfying leisure lifestyles.
Therapeutic Recreation Distance and Extended Learning
This distance and extended learning program offers courses to help professionals in therapeutic recreation reach their education goals in the least restrictive environment.
Aquatics Minor
This minor will develop the student's knowledge of water safety, aquatic facility management, small craft safety, scuba operations, exercise and fitness.
Minor in Challenge Course Management and Leadership
This minor addresses the growing experiential and challenge education field and the need for trained practitioners within the challenge ropes course, zip line and canopy tour industry.
Coaching Minor
Although this is not an endorsable minor, all the courses can be applied toward meeting the state's clock hour requirements for school coaches.

Master of Science Degree
The master of science degree in physical education prepares students for a diverse array of careers in areas including athletic and recreation administration, coaching and directing fitness facilities and programs in a variety of settings. Additionally, the degree is applicable to those students interested in pursuing advanced graduate studies in related areas. Prospective students should hold a baccalaureate degree in a health-related field from an accredited institution.
