Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities (LLCs) bring together students, staff and faculty to learn and grow outside the classroom.  Our goal is to work with students to provide a deeper level of learning and collaboration and to have fun. LLCs complement the academic integrity and mission of the university via smaller communities within the larger university setting.  All of the LLCs are great, but the faculty and advisors in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences and Social Work are primarily engaged with four of the LLCs.  These four are:  Leadership, Explore, International and Impressions.

Leadership

Were you a leader in HS and want to continue?  Do you want to become engaged in leadership activities in college?  This might be the place for you.

Explore

Interested in exploring a degree or career in the programs offered by CSBSSW?  Or are you still deciding?  This might be a good choice for you.

International Experience

Do you want to meet people who are interested in other cultures and other countries?  Join International for this experience.

Impressions

Are you interested in issues of gender identity and sexual orientation?  In this community, students can explore and express who they are in a safe and affirming environment.)

Our college is excited to partner with Housing and Residential Life to create these experiences for you.  The research is clear; students who get engaged and involved in college tend to be more successful in college and after they graduate.  Check out the LLCs to see if this is a good fit for you.
