Scholarship Announcement for

Academic Year 2012-2013

Please read the announcements carefully to insure that your application is complete. We have provided the announcements with a checkbox to help with completion of the application packet. Please include a phone number on your cover letter where we may contact you. With the high number of applications being submitted by students, an incomplete application will not be reviewed.

Deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, February 15, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. and must be post marked by this date in the Chicano Education Program's main office. Any faxed or late applications will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:

Scholarship recipients are required to attend the Annual Welcome Back Reception to formally receive the scholarship award. The reception will be held Wednesday October 3, 2012 (tenative date) at EWU's PUB Multi-Purpose Room. In addition, recipients are required to participate in Las Aguilas. An elite group of scholars formed by all Chicano Education Program recipients. Las Aguilas, meet once a month with the goal to maintain good grades and apply to more scholarships. Once awarded a scholarship the student will be contacted by the scholarship coordinator.
