Stacy Warren, PhD
Dept. of Geography and Anthropology - Professor and ChairIsle Hall 103Phone: 509.359.7962Fax: 509.359.2474Email: swarren@ewu.eduStacy Warren teaches in both the Geography and Children's Studies programs at Eastern Washington University. In addition, she is director of EWU's certificate program in Geographic Information Systems. In spite of an undergraduate degree in computer science, her lifelong fascination with amusement parks sparked an interest in cultural geography. She has spent much of her career examining the various ways the Disney Company, in particular, has influenced urban and suburban design and shaped cultural landscapes. Current research interests include children's use of space and the spaces built (by adults) for them, from orphanages to elementary schools to Disneyland.
