The study of history provides a solid foundation not only for history and social studies education majors, but for careers in law, business, government, international relations, journalism, library services and museums, to name but a few.

Located on the EWU campus, the Washington State Digital Archives is the first built-from-the-ground-up digital archives in the world. EWU students in public history enjoy internships, learning experiences and even part-time jobs at the archives.
