Psychology is the science of human behavior, mental processes, and experience. Psychology is a diverse discipline, grounded in science, but with nearly boundless applications in everyday life. Some psychologists do basic research, developing theories and testing them through carefully honed research methods involving observation, experimentation and analysis. Other psychologists apply the discipline’s scientific knowledge to help people, organizations and communities function more successfully.Summer Session

Explore psychology through our program
Psychology is the science of human behavior and experience, and seeks to provide answers to some of the most interesting and difficult questions humankind has asked.
Psychology is one of the most versatile degrees offered. A bachelor's degree in psychology provides background for a wide variety of career areas, many outside the specific field of psychology, including:
- Administrative jobs (office, healthcare, or community program management, etc.)
- Business management and sales
- Public relations and public affairs
- Social services
Psychology graduates from Eastern @ BC will have many things to offer potential employers. Eastern psychology graduates are trained in many skill areas including writing, statistical analysis, computer literacy, information finding and research, measurement in human behavior, critical evaluation, perspective taking, interpersonal awareness, and perhaps most importantly, problem solving. In fact, the most apt description of a psychology graduate is a "scientific human problem solver."
Students majoring in psychology have been successful in pursuing graduate education as well. Our students have been accepted into masters and doctoral programs across the U.S.
Our undergraduate program is designed to cover the essential areas of contemporary psychology.
