2Students in the Environmental Science Program will be required to take the Environmental Science capstone. Exceptions will only be made for students pursuing a double major but prior written approval of the Program Director will be required. This exception will insure that students are not required to take two capstone courses.
Information for obtaining a double major:
The Environmental Science program has been purposely designed to facilitate a double major in Environmental Science and a degree from the department from which you obtain your concentration area. All students are strongly encouraged to investigate this opportunity as it will open additional employment and graduate school avenues. See an advisor from the appropriate department early and often if you are pursuing a double major! Scheduling is critical and can greatly speed your progress through the double major track.
If you take the double major, you do not need to take two capstones; however the only exceptions will be for students obtaining double majors in biology, chemistry, and geology who may use departmental capstones. Any substitutions require PRIOR written approval from the Program Director.
