Secondary Mathematics Endorsement
MATHEMATICS/SECONDARY ENDORSEMENT:
o Option 1: Requires a secondary teaching certificate
with a major in secondary mathematics
o Option 2: Requires a secondary teaching certificate
with a minor in secondary mathematics

A Mathematics/Secondary Endorsement is generally required in order to teach mathematics at the secondary level (Grades: 5-12). The Mathematics Endorsement can be obtained through the Mathematics/Secondary Education major or minor progam, as outlined in the link B.A.E, Mathematics/Secondary Major & Minor

What will I study?
A student will study mathematics and education courses, according to requirements for fulfilling the Mathematics/Secondary Endorsement to teach mathematics at the secondary grade levels (Grades: 9-12). *For endorsement requirements please refer to the information above.
A student interested in becoming a Middle School Mathematics teacher (Grades 7-8) will study mathematics and education courses, according to requirement for fulfilling the endorsement/certification to teach specific grade levels. *For endorsement requirements please refer to the information above.
