The EWU Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization chartered in 1977, to promote and support the university. The Foundation exists solely to raise, receive and manage private gifts for the advancement and benefit of Eastern Washington University at the discretion and direction of the donor. The Foundation is independently audited annually. All private gifts are subject to acceptance through policies set forth by the EWU Foundation board of directors.
