Development Leadership

Warm Eastern greetings to you, and welcome to the EWU Foundation webpage!  We are proud of thousands of alumni and friends scattered across the United States (and beyond) who serve as ambassadors of Eastern as they contribute to the vitality and culture of their communities.  We are especially thankful for the many supporters  who give generously to the university's academic mission, capital projects and athletic programs.  Because of your kindness, EWU continues to succeed at offering a great education in a vibrant community of 12,000 students this year.

We would enjoy the opportunity to talk with you and share more about the activities at EWU and the many ways that you can support our efforts.  Whether your interest is giving back to a specific academic program, establishing an endowed scholarship for students, or exploring ways to leave a legacy gift through estate planning, it would be our privilege to talk with you.

If you have any questions about giving to Eastern, or understanding the activities of the EWU Foundation, feel free to contact me personally, or contact one of our program focused Advancement Directors.

And don't forget...many corporations have matching gift programs which allow a dollar-for-dollar philanthropic match from your company.

Thanks for helping make Eastern Washington University INCREDIBLE!

I am privileged to supervise a great team of professionals who take their jobs seriously and serve Eastern with passion.  We have responsibility of seeking support for the four colleges at EWU, libraries, honors, athletics, and student affairs.  I find joy in the relationship aspect of my work, and often talk about the "win, win, win" of fundraising: donors win, students win, and the university wins.

I have served Eastern for five years.  I work to raise financial support and awareness on behalf of the Diversity Programs and the School of Social Work, along with managing the Stewardship program for the Foundation.  I am a mid-west native but have called Spokane home for nearly thirty years.  I am an avid reader, and enjoy exploring the Inland Northwest - by car, on foot, or from the seat of a kayak.

I've worked at Eastern Washington University as an instructor, advisor, and administrator.  The College of Arts, Letters and Education is where I got my start professionally, and now my work is building support and partnerships between it and the community.  I spend my free time with my wife and daughter.  My hobbies are reading, travel, writing, and pickup basketball.

I am the former golf coach and special events coordinator in athletics at EWU.  The transition to this position allows me the opportunity to reach out to and connect our former student athletes back to their alma mater.  I'm married and have two daughters.  Aside being a sports nut, I enjoy music  and laughter.

I am honored to provide the gift planning resources that create incREDible opportunities to preserve the future of EWU. A true Eagle at heart, I completed my BA in Business Management and Marketing, and earned 2 graduate degrees - MBA and MPA, all at EWU.  I worked as a machinist prior to my education and have since served in professional non-profit activity. I spend free time with my wife and two daughters, and I love to go ice fishing and hiking whenever possible.
