Mrs. Monroe was the first female chair of the board of trustees in the 1920s and an advocate for women in professional careers.

How do I become a member?

The Mary Monroe Society is a group of alumni, parents, and friends who provide Eastern with a high level of support between $25,000 and $500,000 for expendable Acidemic scholarships. Through their gifts, members of the Mary Monroe Society:

• Enable students to come to Eastern without having to worry about how they will pay for it
• Start something big
• Further our global service efforts
