Library Hours

Before visiting the EWU Libraries, please see our hours.  Be sure to check our special hours page which indicates any variations in our schedule due to Holidays or Intersessions.

 Borrowing Materials

Community members of the Spokane area who are 18 years old or older may obtain borrowing privileges from EWU Libraries.  In most cases, community borrowers receive the same loan periods as EWU undergraduate students.

To obtain a library card, you will need:

• Current valid picture ID (i.e. a driver's license)
• AND another form of identification showing proof of current address, such as a recent phone or power statement

Bring these forms of ID to either the Cheney campus JFK Library Circulation Desk on the main level or to the Spokane Riverpoint Campus Library.

Electronic Resources Available

You may search our online library catalog anywhere, but to use our other online resources (article databases, etc.) you must come to the library.

Computer Use

Microsoft Office software is not available for community members. Try your local public library.

Printing & Photocopying

• For printing, you must buy a copy card for $1, then add money to the card via the PHIL machine next to the photocopiers on the main level. Printing is 5 cents a page.
• For photocopying, you may use money on the copy card or cash.

Minors in the Library

Community members between the ages of 12 and 17 may obtain borrowing privileges from EWU Libraries with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent/guardian must accompany the 12-17 year old to the library to obtain a card.
