  • SocINDEX with Full Text (EBSCOhost) Comprehensive database for sociology, with solid coverage for social work and criminal justice issues. Covers over 2500 journals, along with relevant books and conference proceedings. Includes over 10,000 author profiles.
  • Something About the Author Online (Gale) Full-text biographical or autobiographical information for around 12,000 authors and illustrators of children's and young adult books.
  • SportDiscus with Full Text (EBSCOhost) Comprehensive database for sports, fitness, sports medicine, and physical education. Full-text articles from around 550 journals and magazines, plus selective indexing for around 1500 titles. Also indexes book chapters and conference proceedings.
  • SpringerLink Full-text articles from around 1600 journals (mainly scientific and medical) back to 1997; indexing only for another 900 journals, books, and protocols.

  • Wayfinder: The Catalog of Washington Libraries Combined catalog of over 250 Washington public, academic, government, law, medical, corporate, special and tribal libraries.
  • Web of Science -- 1995-present Indexes articles and analyzes citations from over 5,700 scientific journals back to 1995. (The print version is known as Science Citation Index.)
  • Who's Who Short, full-text biographical entries on over 1 million persons.
  • Wiley Online Full-text access to around 550 (mostly) science journals published by John Wiley & Sons, back to 1997. The database includes citations for another 1500 titles, as well citations for articles older than 1997 of all 2000+ titles.
  • World Almanac (FirstSearch) -- 1998-present Quick facts and statistics from four almanacs and the Funk & Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia, back to 1998.
  • World Book Online Access 7 encyclopedias: World Book Advanced (high school/undergraduates); Kids (elementary); Student (middle/high school); Discover (differentiated instruction); 2 Spanish language & 1 French language.
  • WorldCat (FirstSearch) Search a holdings catalog of thousands of libraries across the country and the world. Intended for use with our Interlibrary Loan system with delivery time estimated from one to two weeks. (Can also use EWU WorldCat Catalog for the same information.)
  • Worldwide Political Science Abstracts -- 1975-present Covers political science, international relations, law and public administration from around 1500 journals.
