Area Information
If you need a place to stay while visiting Eastern check out our local hotel information.
Spokane is just 16 miles from the Eastern campus and is the second largest city in Washington state. You can see all the exciting things that are happening by visiting the visitor's bureau website at www.visitspokane.com
The city of Cheney is home to Eastern so you will want to check out the website for visiting the city at www.cityofcheney.org/site/visiting
If you need to get around the greater Spokane area make sure to check out the Spokane Transit Authority website at www.spokanetransit.com. All Eastern students pay a small fee each quarter which allows them to ride any of the Spokane buses for free during the school year.
If you are looking to visit the area but are coming from a distance you will want to check out the flight schedule for Spokane's international airport at www.spokaneairport.net.
If you you enjoy the outdoors there are many options for you in the area. You may want to check out Riverside State Park or the Turnball National Wildlife Refuge. Eastern is the only university in the country that has a labratory on a national wildlife refuge.
If you are in the area during the winter you can check out one of the five major ski resorts that are within 2 hours of Eastern at www.ski-inlandnorthwest.com.
