thinkEastern - Oct. 15, 2011

Audience:  Students and families interested in more information about Eastern

thinkEastern gives you the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and students; learn about admissions, financial aid, student services and academic programs. Explore the campus and the essentials of on campus living. The day starts at 10:30 a.m. with check in Showalter Hall 1st Floor lobby and ends at 3:30pm before the Homecoming game.

goEastern - April 14, 2012

Audience: Future students and their families

goEastern is a spirited Saturday event designed for everyone from students who are trying to make their decision to students who've never been on Eastern's campus. The day begins with check in, different sessions from financial aid, admissions, student life, dining services and much more. There will also be a chance to meet with different people from the academic programs that interest you. It's a great opportunity for you and your family. Please join us! The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with check in at Showalter Hall and ends at 2:30 p.m.

Eagle Previews

  • Oct. 9-10, 2011 (RSVP deadline: Sept. 30, 2011)
  • Nov. 6-7, 2011 (RSVP deadline: Oct. 21, 2011)
  • Apr. 29-30, 2012 (RSVP deadline: Apr. 13, 2012)
Audience:  High school juniors and seniors.  Parents are welcome for sessions on the second day.

Eagle Preview is your opportunity to experience life as an Eagle!  Beginning Sunday evening you'll eat in a popular EWU dining facility, spend time in the University Recreation Center, and end the night with a stay in one of EWU's seven residential halls. Along with this you will: 

  • Take a campus tour led by current EWU students
  • Learn about the EWU's academic programs
  • Take part in Academic sessions led by faculty members
  • Learn about student services on campus
  • Find out about the many ways to get involved at the university
  • Speak with admissions counselors, financial aid officers, and housing representatives

Monday includes activities for interested parents.

The cost for each student is $40 which includes lodging, three meals, and access to the University Recreation Center (URC). The parent track cost is $15 which includes light refreshments and lunch accommodations. EWU can only host 25 high school juniors and seniors. So be sure to sign up early! After you RSVP online, you will receive an information packet with forms that need to be filled out and returned. Once your packet is received, you will be officially confirmed for the event.

You will receive information about Eastern and about your next steps such as applying for housing, advising and registering for classes and more. Admissions representatives will be available along with a current student and an EWU alumnus to answer your questions. Our goal is to give you all the information you need to start something big at Eastern Washington University.

Transfer Talk - Oct. 28, 2011 & Feb. 3, 2012

Audience: Students who are thinking about transfer to Eastern

Transfer Talk will help students who are interested in transferring to Eastern learn about the application process and deadlines, how your credits may transfer, and how a DTA can work for you. We will have representatives to educate you on the financial aid process and deadlines, a guided campus tour and the option of speaking with a representative from your program of study to learn more about your academic options.

Eastern Is College Bound - Oct. 22, 2011

Audience: Seniors and parents

Seniors: you're just about finished with high school-so what's next? Come to Eastern to learn what it take to get college dollars! You'll talk with financial aid experts, meet college and university recruiters and learn more about Eastern.
