Joining the EWU team in 2010 as the Vice President for Student Affairs, Stacey Morgan Foster has more than 25 years of experience in higher education. Previously, she served as the VP at California State University, Stanislaus. She also has held leadership positions at San José State University and The American University. She has a BA in English with a Secondary Teaching Credential (CSU Sacramento) and a JD (George Mason University School of Law). Foster is a committed mentor to emerging student leaders and particularly interested in developing ethical decision-making skills among students. A longtime Rotarian, Foster is regularly involved with various community boards and activities. She and her husband enjoy raising much of their own food on their small farm. They have two children: a married daughter who is an Army officer and a son in high school.

Larry Briggs is the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services. He has more than 20 years of experience in public and private higher education and has served in several capacities on campus since coming to EWU in 1995. He completed an undergraduate degree at SUNY Cortland, a master's degree at St. Bonaventure University and a doctorate in American History at Syracuse University.

Amy Johnson is the Associate Vice President for Student Life and the Dean of Students. She has worked in higher education for more than 15 years as an administrator and faculty member, actively advising, teaching, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students throughout her career. Prior to joining EWU, Johnson served in leadership roles at the University of Southern California (where she held a joint faculty appointment in the Rossier School of Education) and the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). She holds master's and doctoral degrees in higher education from Penn and a bachelor's degree in English/communication from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Her academic and research interests include living-learning environments (primarily residential colleges), distance education and creative uses of technology to facilitate learning and deliver services, and students' transition to college.

Josh Ashcroft serves as the Chief Housing Officer for Housing and Residential Life. He holds a Master's of Education in College Student Services Administration (Oregon State) and a bachelor's in Communication Studies (EWU). Josh has been employed with EWU since 2007 and has had the privilege of working in Admissions, Student Activities, and Housing and Residential Life. Outside of work he enjoys fishing, spending time with family and coaching his kids' sports teams.

Mike Campitelli has been the Director for Campus Recreation since 2006. He was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Calif. He was the head baseball coach at Santa Barbara CC when he, his wife Denise and son Anthony moved to Cheney in 1989. Mike has worked in Campus Recreation in many areas, including working in the Sports & Recreation Center from '89-'97. When the Intramural Sport program moved to the Department of Student Life, Mike was the director. Since then, Campus Recreation has grown to include the Club Sport Federation and EPIC Adventures, both of which report to Mike. Mike has a BA in Recreation Management and MS in Sports Administration, both from EWU, and enjoys gardening, golfing and fishing.

Ted Carman received his BA in Sociology from Blackburn College in Illinois and his MBA from InterAmerican University in San Germân, Puerto Rico. He started at Eastern in 1996 conducting budgeting and planning for the College of Letters and Arts and for Student Affairs. He transfered to the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs on a full-time basis in 2000.

Shannon Carr is a proud Eastern alumna. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from EWU in 1998 and her master's degree in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont in 2003. Shannon has been the director of Admission at EWU since 2004. She is proud to serve prospective students, families and educational partners as they explore college options.

Bruce DeFrates has worked in the financial aid profession since 1980 and has been the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships at EWU since 1999. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota - Duluth, a master's degree in Counseling and College Student Personnel from Minnesota State University - Mankato, and an MBA from Gonzaga University. He has also worked as a financial consultant and a pension administrator. He enjoys the challenges of financial aid and student employment administration and continues to be gratified by the knowledge that he and his staff are helping students on a daily basis to obtain their educational goals.

Currently serving as the Student Support and Advocacy Manager, Michelle Helmerick assists students in crisis and helps students and their families navigate the resources available at EWU. She has worked in the Dean of Students office since 2005, mentoring and advising students, managing student cases, designing/coordinating special projects, and providing executive support to the Dean. Prior to this experience, she served at the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau in Boulder, Colorado as its Executive Director. She has a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Wyoming. When not on campus, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and college-age son exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Kevin began his career in Disability Support Services as a student worker in 1999. After earning his Bachelors of Arts in Education from EWU, he was hired as the accommodation specialist for the DSS office and went on to become the Manager. Kevin also completed his Masters of Social Work, MSW, with EWU in 2011. He enjoys guest lecturing in classes across many disciplines and has taught courses in Counseling Education and Developmental Psychology. In addition, Kevin co-wrote Chapter 16 of Learning and Attention Disorders in Adolescence and Adulthood, 2nd edition, along with his friend, Ian Campbell, from Central Washington University.

Dave has worked at EWU since 2005 and currently serves as the Director for the Veterans Resource Center. He spent 25 years on active duty in the U.S. Army ending his career as Chair of the Military Science Department at EWU. Dave is a graduate of Seattle University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology and later received a master's in human resource management from Troy University. Dave is married with three children and enjoys outdoor activities and reading non-fiction.

Erin Morgan completed her master's degree in TESOL at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, Calif., in 1997. Erin has served in the role of Registrar for Eastern Washington University since 2008. She also served as the Registrar & Interim Director of International Programs for Clark College in Vancouver, Wash., from 2005 - 2008. Prior to moving back to Washington in 2005, Erin was the Manager of International Student Services at University of California, Irvine, University Extension from 2000 - 2005 and lived in South Korea for several years where she worked for LG Corporation.

Dr. Rob Quackenbush completed his master's degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Washington University in 1983, and his doctorate in counseling psychology from Washington State University in 1987. Rob has been employed with EWU since 1990, first as training coordinator at Counseling and Psychological Services, and then as Director of CAPS for the past twelve years.

Stacey has worked for EWU for more than 10 years within the Department of Student Affairs. Stacey began her career at EWU in 2001 as the Advisor for Student Organizations. In 2004, Stacey became the Director for the Student Rights and Responsibilities, which is a position she currently holds along with the role of Interim Director for Student Involvement and Leadership. Stacey is an EWU graduate, earning a bachelor's degree in Education in 1999. Stacey is currently working on her master's degree. Her area of study is focused on organizational communication and student development.

Geri Scott is the Manager of Student Services for EWU Spokane at Riverpoint Campus. She is in her 10th year at Eastern, but has been working directly with students for nearly 30 years (Washington State University - 16 years and Western Washington University - 4-plus years). Though housed at the Riverpoint Campus, she has the pleasure of assisting students from all Eastern locations. Her role also provides the opportunity for close collaboration with our WSU Spokane neighbors. Anyone who knows Geri knows that when spring finally hits she's dusting off her golf clubs to play a round of her favorite sport. If the weather doesn't cooperate, you'll find her reading at least one and sometimes two or three books simultaneously.
