TRiO Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program
Welcome to the Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program
Meghan Elder hails from Moses Lake, Washington, and is completing a double major in sociology and social work at Eastern Washington University with plans to pursue a Ph.D. in sociology. Her McNair research internship has focused on work, labor, and gender differences of the types of emotional labor in service professions. Other areas of research interest include: social stratification, inequalities, and social policy reform.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with friends and family, camping, going to concerts, and attempting to learn guitar. She spends time volunteering with the local health district in their community outreach center and plans to continue her volunteer work through her time in Eastern Washington before going on to graduate school.
