Announcements
Temporary Change to Office Hours
Please be advised that the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office will have student-only coverage at the front counter from 8-10am from May 7th to May 25th. This temporary adjustment is to allow the staff time to process a large number of continuing student files so that awards can be made in a timely manner. You may drop forms off during that time, but please hold your questions until after that time. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Application Deadlines
Students who apply by the following dates receive priority consideration for EWU financial aid for the following academic year:
- Feb. 15: Date FAFSA must be received by the Federal Processor (new and continuing students)
- Feb. 15: Date to submit an application for admission or re-admission to EWU (new/transfer/former students only)
Applications received after these dates will still be considered, but awards are made on a funds-available basis and late applicants may not receive all the aid for which they might otherwise qualify.
Cost of Attendance for 2012-2013
The cost of attendance budgets for the 2012-2013 academic year are now available. These are the "base" budgets and there are many variations depending on enrollment, program, living status, residency, etc.

Major Changes to EWU Satisfactory Academic Policy
Based on new federal regulations, major changes to the EWU Satisfactory Academic Progress policy are in effect for fall 2011. There are separate policies for undergraduates, post-baccalaureate students, and graduate students.
Financial Aid for Certificate Programs - Beginning July 1, 2011, students taking a certificate program as a stand-alone are no longer eligible for federal aid. However, state, institutional, and private aid is still available. This restriction does not apply to students who are taking certificate programs as a part of larger degree programs or to teacher certification students.
Required Disclosures - For important information about the university, please visit the student disclosure information page. This page includes the Net Price Calculator required by federal regulations.
