Like many musicians, guitarist Michael Millham makes his living from a malleable combination of teaching and performing. Trained at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho (B.A., Guitar), he currently teaches classical guitar as an adjunct at both Gonzaga University and Eastern Washington University.
With his wife, vocalist Keleren Millham, Michael also enjoys a musical partnership performing original, 21st- century art songs for voice and guitar that regularly takes him to West Coast venues ranging from wine bars and house concerts to radio shows, theaters, universi- ties and festivals.
Michael is either an endorser or performing artist for Elixir strings, Schoenberg Guitars, L.R. Baggs electron- ics and AER amps. A student of amplifying the acous- tic guitar, he enjoys beta testing and reviewing new acoustic guitar pickup and amplifier designs.
Michael has both contributed to, and been profiled in, the magazine, "Acoustic Guitar", and has also written articles for "Guitar Teacher" and "Play Guitar!" maga- zines. In 1999, he was one of eight recipients selected for Jim Beam Brand Worldwide's Benefiting Emerging Artists in Music grant.
