They share their experiences and why every student should consider this amazing opportunity.

Natasha Black:
What was your favorite part about studying abroad?
Meeting people from different cultures, as was travelling to different countries. Living in Germany for a semester was wonderful; it is a beautiful country and there is so much to see in Europe.

Worth the time and money?
Depends on what experience you are looking to get out of it or what goals you have for studying abroad. But even if you don't have goals or an idea of what you're hoping to get out of it, I would still say go. It's worth the time and money, but don't waste your time there.

Would you do it again?
In a heartbeat.

Recommend this dual degree to other EWU MBA students?
Yes, I would recommend it to every student. Studying abroad, you learn to appreciate aspects of your education that you took for granted and you learn that there are other valuable aspects of higher education in different countries that are different from your own. It's a humbling experience to see all your classmates learning and professors teaching in their second language. Knowing a second language is such a valuable skill. I think it's a very useful learning experience to study in a different culture, consequently seeing the world and your own culture with deepened perspective and knowledge.

Think this experience will benefit you?
Studying international business in a different country and with classmates from all around the world, you inevitably learn more about other cultures and different ways of doing business around the world. You encounter different worldviews and ideologies that effect the way business is conducted in different corners of the world. You learn and interact with some of these differences in a way you can't get through textbook reading.

Haley Green

What was your favorite part about studying abroad?
The accessibility to other countries and the opportunity to really immerse myself into another culture. Studying abroad is an amazing learning experience, it really forces you to see things from other perspectives. Oh, and the food!

Worth the time and money?
Definitely! The experience is priceless and if you budget correctly and travel wisely, it doesn't have to be outrageously expensive. Would you do it again?
In a heartbeat! I made some lifelong friends and was able to see a part of the world I wasn't familiar with.

Recommend this dual degree opportunity to other EWU MBA students? Why?
Yes, if you have the time and flexibility in your life right now, you should go for it! If you seek a future in international business or have goals for higher management positions in global corporations, intercultural competence is necessary and this is a great way to get your foot in the door.

Think this experience will benefit you?
By having the MA in international business and economics, hopefully it will make me more marketable to multinational corporations for future employment endeavors. It also gives me more flexibility and options when searching for employment.
