What were your job duties?
SQA (Software Quality Assurance). Running testing procedure to test the functionality of our software, running performance testing on our software, also write script to automate testing procedures.
What were some of the steps you took to find this internship?
I attended career fairs hosted by EWU Career Services, and I actively interacted with a variety of employers. I would often consult with Career services' advisors in order to go over resume and cover letter.
Over time, were there things you did personally to help you prepare for this internship?
I went to a lot of career fairs and spoke with a many of the employers there. They gave me a lot of good tips on how to myself to potential employers. I really got a perspective that I think better prepared me for my search.
Got any personal advice for students who may be a bit nervous about stepping into larger internships or internships in general?
Do what I did, go to the career fairs, Interact and network with a variety of employers, consult with career services' advisors, so that you will become well prepared and confident.
