Applying for Graduation
In order to help ensure that the third committee member is identified in advance, and to allow sufficient time to prepare for your final comprehensive examination, Graduate Affairs Council policy requires that you apply to graduate no later than the second Friday of the quarter prior to when you intend to complete your degree. For instance, if you plan to graduate in summer of 2006, you must have your Application for Graduation form turned in to the Graduate Office in Showalter Hall by Friday, April 14, 2006. A fee of $26.65 must be paid to complete the application process (price may be subject to change).
The Graduation Ceremony is held once a year at the end of spring quarter. Cap and gown are purchased through the University Bookstore, and information about Commencement is provided well in advance of the Ceremony.
