Chemistry and Biochemistry
Chemistry occupies a unique position within the modern sciences. Ultimately, most of the phenomena in the biological, geological, physical, environmental and medical sciences can be expressed in terms of the chemical and physical behavior of atoms and molecules.

Standard option - BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry
This option provides the normal preparation in chemistry for students planning employment as chemists, and provides considerable chemical background in preparation for careers outside chemistry. It is appropriate for some students who plan to enter professional schools, such as dentistry or public and environmental health.
