To be in the best position to be considered for all possible scholarships, fill out the scholarship form available in the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. Do this by February 1.
Randy Park Fellowship:
The Randy Park Fellowship is intended for students in computer science who are upper-division or graduate students, whose work with the department serves undergraduate students. The stipend usually is associated with a teaching assistantship. Apply through the University Financial Aid and Scholarship Office and through the Department of Computer Science. CS Faculty are directly involved in making the decision on this scholarship.
The Steiner Family Scholarship:
This scholarship is for an undergraduate student in a Bachelor of Science degree program in the Department of Computer Science. A student must be at the sophomore, junior, or senior level, with demonstrated financial need. The student must have completed at least 45 credits at EWU and have obtained a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the most recent 45 credits attempted at EWU. Apply through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. The EWU Scholarship Selection Committee makes decisions on this scholarship according to the established criteria.
Cheney Real Estate Scholarship:
To be eligible, a student must be a graduate of Cheney High School, and a junior or senior in one of the computer science majors. Apply through the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. The EWU Scholarship Selection Committee makes decisions on this scholarship.
The university also has other scholarships, not particular to computer science, that computer science students may well be eligible for. Check them out at the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office.
*While scholarship funds generally follow a regular schedule of awards, on occasion the revenue on the fund may not support disbursement of the scholarship for that year.
