This degree provides students with a strong background in the mathematical concepts they will need for teaching mathematics to students in elementary school. In addition to gaining a strong understanding of mathematical content, students learn to engage elementary school students in hands-on activities that promotes their understanding of difficult concepts.</p><p>Completion of this major, the general degree completion requirements for education, elementary, and a minor field study, satisfies the state requirements for an elementary education teaching endorsement.</p>
