    The Rita Lowe Scholarship is given annually by the Washington State Mathematics Council to two college/university students in Washington who are majoring in mathematics education.

    This scholarship was awarded through an anonymous donor whose annual donation to EWU supports math, biology, chemistry, and physics students. Georgia  was also nominated for the scholarship, but declined the award because she is already fully supported by the following scholarships: Governor's from College Success Foundation, Eastern Advantage, Kelly's Foundation, Education Training Voucher, Mossyrock Garden Club, Viking-Hunting Endowment, Eastern's Presidential, Passport to College, Trustee's.
