Grading Term

Select Term: choose the term you in which you want to check your grades for and click the Select button.

Earned Hours

The total number of credit hours awarded to the student for successful completion of academic
course work or its equivalent transfer coursework.    Eastern's credits are based on a quarterly
    grading system.

Quality Hours/Points

Quality Hours are the total number of hours used in calculating the quality points.  The total is derived by adding the total number of numerically graded credits, giving you the total quality hours (QHRS).

Quality Points are the total points awarded to the student in the term.  The total is derived by multiplying the numerical grades by the number of credits assigned.  This will give you the quality points (QPTS).  Do this for each course to obtain the total quality points for the quarter.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

The student's grade point average (GPA) for the term.  The value is derived by dividing the quality points for the term by the quality hours for the term.  Eastern's cumulative grade point average may be derived by combing totals for each term and divided as shown below:

    3.0 x 4 credits = 12 quality points
    12 QP - 4 QH = cumulative GPA
(Pass/no credit grades are not computed in the grade point average)

To arrive at the all college GPA you must go to your transfer transcript online and add the QPTS from the transfer transcript to your total EWU QPTS and add the QHRS to your total
EWU QHRS then proceed as above; dividng the total QHRS into the total QPTS.  This gives the all college GPA which is used for your graduating GPA.

When are grades available?
Grades will be available the Wednesday following the completion of finals. Grades are available as they are posted on EagleNET.   Grades with current GPA aren't available until grades are finalized, usually the Wednesday following finals week.  Grade changes are made as they are received from the instructor.  A grade change must have the approval of the department chair and the school's dean before being sent to the Registrar's Office.  The student cannot carry grade changes through the system.  You will receive a copy of the change via mail within a few days of the change.

Grades and GPA's cannot be released by phone.  You may obtain them via  EagleNET.  You must have picture ID when inquiring about grades in person in the Registration and Records office.  Spouses and parents may not be able to obtain grades for students.
