Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee
The IGBC was formed in 1983 to help ensure recovery of viable grizzly bear populations and their habitat in the lower 48 states through interagency coordination of policy, planning, management, and research. The IGBC consists of representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Geological Survey and representatives of the state wildlife agencies of Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming.
Craighead Environmental Research Institute
The Craighead Environmental Research Institute (CERI) is a network of biologists dedicated to providing reliable information, through innovative research and state-of-the-art conservation planning, to foster ecologically sound management of wildlife and their habitats. CERI's mission is to maintain healthy populations of native plants, wildlife, and humans in sustainable, functioning ecosystems.
Bear Trust International
Bear Trust International works for wild bears and other wildlife through three core program initiatives: 1) Conservation Education 2) Wild Bear Research and Management, and 3) Habitat Conservation. Combined, these program initiatives address the many contexts that are necessary for effective wildlife conservation. |
