| Costco Holding Event for EWU Community | | EWU students, faculty, staff and parents are invited to the East Sprague Costco in Spokane on Nov. 7 for a special event featuring deals for EWU community members.
There will be exclusive coupons, cash cards for new members, door prizes and entertainment at the event. Buses are available from the PUB, leaving at 6:30 p.m., and every half-hour after. For more info, contact Costco at 509.842.0035. |
| EWU Wall Calendars Now Available | | The 2010 EWU Wall Calendars produced by EPCS (22" x 38" size) will be available this week, Nov. 2-6. This year's calendar sells for $2 each and can either be picked up at EPCS, Tawanka 129, or we will be glad to deliver orders upon receipt of an order with a valid Index/Budget number provided. | Grant & Research Development Open House | | The annual Grants Office open house will be held Monday, Nov. 9, from 1-4 p.m. in Showalter 210. This informal event is a great chance for faculty and staff to share with Grants Office personnel information about projects they're involved in. The staff especially hopes new faculty will join them, so they can put faces with names and learn about their interests. As always, the open house is great time to sample delicious home-baked treats and chat with friends. |
| EWU Theatre Presenting "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" | | EWU Theatre is proud to present "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie," written by Jay Allen, adapted from the novel by Muriel Spark, directed by Sara Goff.

| Global Studies Lecture Series upcoming | | Please save the date and time, Thursday Nov. 19, noon-1:30 p.m., for this quarter's lecture in the Global Studies Lecture Series, presented by the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Kristin Edquist will present the topic "Global Mental Health and the Modernity of States," which will address current issues regarding mental health care in developing countries.
The lecture will be held in the recently renovated Second Floor Reading Room in Hargreaves Hall and is open to all. |

| BE THERE WITH BELLS ON! | | Put on your reindeer antlers and your running shoes and come join us for some holiday cheer. EWU's team, Holly Jolly Eagles, will be participating in the 2009 Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis. The walk/run begins at 9 a.m. on Nov. 21 in Riverfront Park. Proceeds from this event go to the Arthritis Foundation.
Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season by helping others!
