Date and Time

August 4, 2015 at 8:30 am

Event Details

Tribal Transportation Safety Funds (TTPS) have approximately $9 million of grant funding for identification and analysis of highway safety issues and opportunities on tribal lands, with a current grant solicitation deadline of August 25, 2015. Information on this funding including a recording of an earlier TTPSF Funding webinar on July 15 can be found at

Some tribes may still have questions or need clarification on applying for these TTPSF safety grants and using data driven planning to develop safety projects and action.  The Northwest TTAP will be host of a webinar on Tuesday August 4th at 8:30 am PDT to provide an overview of the grant process and each of the eligible activity areas.  Dr. Dick Winchell and Adam Larsen will present an overview on the discussion topic "Data Driven Tribal Safety Planning and Implementation: From Tribal Safety Plans to Safety Projects and Actions Using TTPSF Funds".   Please see the information below for access to the webinar.

The purpose of this workshop is to encourage tribal development of TTPS grant proposals and data driven planning. This webinar is hosted by the NW TTAP, along with  the Federal Lands Highways TTPS Program, LTAP/TTAP Clearinghouse and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission to support continuing technology transfer to tribes interested in the grant program and creating data driven safety plans and projects.
