Cultural Resources: WSDOT Responsibilities And Approach Workshop

The regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act call for consultation with Tribes on federally assisted transportation projects.  This session will review the current policies and procedures for 106 consultation conducted for Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) projects.  WSDOT staff and the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer of the Spokane Tribe involved in implementing 106 requirements for transportation projects will present information on guiding laws, and policies, what they are meant to do, and how they are followed.
