Donors Give More Than $156,000 to EWU on Giving Joy Day

Dedicated supporters of Eastern Washington University came together on Giving Joy Day, Friday, April 2, to spread joy through kindness, community, philanthropy and service. EWU’s annual day of giving generated $156,421.78 in cash, pledges and in-kind gifts. Thank you to everyone who took part!

These gifts from generous donors will support student grants, scholarships and internships, athletic programs and more. The university received support from faculty and staff, local businesses, volunteer boards and individual donors, many of whom are alumni.

EWU students are thankful for the support. Many acknowledge that they would not be in college if it weren’t for scholarships and other donor-funded aid. Many students also spent Giving Joy Day spreading joy in their communities and sharing their experiences on social media. We’ve shared a thank you video and several examples below.
