Assistant Trip Leader Training: Learn the basic technical and leadership skills it takes to lead groups in the outdoors. Offered fall quarter
Whitewater Raft Guide Training: Learn how to guide a whitewater raft down class III rapids. With a focus on technical skills, group management and safety practices, this course is the first step towards becoming an EPIC Raft Guide and a licensed guide in Washington State. Offered spring quarter.
Top Rope Instructor Training: Learn the skills necessary to be a well-prepared rock climbing instructor in a single-pitch environment. This course is geared towards both beginner and experienced climbers who will train to lead others on top rope outings. Offered spring quarter.
Advanced Raft Guide Training: Designed for trained EPIC Adventures whitewater raft guides or anyone with equivalent experience, this course focuses on preparing candidates to be a lead guide or field supervisor. Offered spring quarter.
Wilderness First Responder: This rigorous wilderness medicine course will help prepare you to respond when things go awry in the backcountry. Required for EPIC Trip Leaders, this course is open to all, and comes with the potential of a certification through WMTC. Offered winter quarter.
Swiftwater Rescue Course: From swimming class III drops to technical rope systems for unpinning a stuck whitewater raft, this course covers the skills necessary to deal with problems on the river. This course offers a potential certification. Offered spring quarter.
