If you have taken one or more classes at EWU in the past, you are considered a returning student, a.k.a. someone who does not give up easily.
For any college credits earned since you last attended EWU. If none, skip this step.

A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
OR
A cumulative GPA of 2.0-2.49 with completion of college-level English and intermediate algebra with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA in each course.
By meeting the freshman admission requirements and having a 2.0 GPA in college-level coursework.
If you were academically dismissed from EWU, you must be reinstated prior to readmission. To begin the reinstatement process, contact Academic Advising at 509.359.2345. For more information about this process, visit the website on Academic Probation, Dismissal and Reinstatement.
If you previously enrolled as a non-degree seeking student (or non-matriculated student) or through the Running Start program and have not been formally admitted, you must seek admission as a freshman (less than 40 college credits) or transfer (more than 40 college credits) student.
Any student who has received a bachelor’s degree from EWU and wants to earn a second bachelor’s must reapply for admission.
Apply using our short application for readmission form. Once complete, email the form to Graduate Studies at gradprograms@ewu.edu.
You will not be required to pay a new application fee.
Submit a new graduate application for your program and pay the application fee.
If you were previously enrolled in an EWU graduate program but didn’t finish your degree, follow the instructions below.
Students who are returning for a second graduate degree from EWU are required to submit a graduate application for your new program and pay the application fee.
