Rachel Dryer `13
DEGREE: BA in Communication Disorders
CURRENT POSITION: Admissions & Program Coordinator at WSU College of Medicine
- Why did you want to join the YPN Board? As an EWU alumna, I wanted to give back and get involved with Eastern seniors and recent graduates. I know how difficult it can be navigating the post graduate life, especially with a specialized degree.
- How did you land in your current position? After 2.5 years of working in EWU’s disability services (fantastic job!), I was ready to take the next step in my career. When offered a position with WSU, after applying on their website, I eagerly accepted because of the connection I had to the mission of helping Washingtonians live better, longer. I am thankful to have made a seamless transfer and be working with an incredible team in a job I love!
- What is the best piece of career advice you ever received? The best piece of career advice that I have ever received was from one of my professors. No matter what career field or job you enter into, make sure you try to do the best you can and grow as much as you can.
- What is your favorite local hangout? My favorite local hangout is Avista Stadium. I love going to baseball games during the summer and rooting on the Spokane Indians!
