EWU is relying on a combination of philanthropy and facility-generated revenues to complete the updates, and supporters have already pitched in more than $6 million to help.<\/p>\n With the red turf replaced several years ago, thanks to a generous gift from Jack Gillingham, and the renovation of the track surrounding the field recently completed, the complex is poised to drive regional competition by bringing top-notch events to Cheney.
