If you answer \u201cYES\u201d to any of these questions, you should consider majoring in Urban and Regional Planning at EWU.<\/p>\n<p>In each of our programs, you will learn how to design sustainable, livable, equitable, and environmentally sound communities. You will also study historical and contemporary planning, as well as the different values and ethical standards that affect the practice of planning. Shortly thereafter he was hired by the Urban Land Institute were he assisted in the writing, editing, and publishing of numerous books including\u00a0<em>Creating Walkable Places<\/em>\u00a0(2006),\u00a0<em>Real Estate Development: Principles and Process, 4th edition<\/em>\u00a0(2007), and\u00a0<em>Affordable Housing: Designing an American Asset<\/em>\u00a0(2005). In 2010, Dr. Scully returned to University of Washington to earn a PhD in urban design and planning. His dissertation work analyzed data from the Seattle Obesity Study II. In this research study, over 500 participants agreed to track their locations via GPS receivers and self-report in the form of travel diaries.
