What started as a plan for a career in sports and sports marketing turned into an unexpected journey for Randi Holm.<\/p>\nAfter earning her Communication Studies degree, she spent nearly 10 years working in Minor and Major League baseball before pivoting to the candy industry and founding Holm Made Toffee Co.<\/strong><\/a> The communication skills she developed at EWU have continued to serve her throughout her career, helping her pitch ideas, lead a team, and grow her business.<\/p>\n
She credits her internship with the Spokane Indians during her senior year with teaching her to learn on her feet and build connections in the community. Her involvement in Gamma Phi Beta and the Panhellenic Council also helped her develop leadership, budgeting, and networking skills while pushing her out of her comfort zone.<\/p>\n
