Along with overseeing editing the collection of essays written by leading performer-scholars, Professor Ellsworth also wrote two of the chapters.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Clarinet<\/em> \u201coffers unique perspectives on the clarinet&#8217;s historical role in various styles, genres, and ensembles, from jazz and ethnic traditions to classical chamber music, concertos, opera, and symphony orchestras.\u201d (Boydell &amp; Brewer Book Description)<\/p>\n<p>Along with Professor Ellsworth, contributors to this volume include Eric Hoeprich, Albert R. Rice, Ingrid Pearson, Julian Rushton, David Schneider, Marie Sumner Lott, Colin Lawson, and S. Frederick Starr.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ellsworth is a professor of music History at EWU and has performed across the U.S.A and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/cahss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/08\/EllsworthJane.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4222 img-fluid alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/cahss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/08\/EllsworthJane-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Jane Ellsworth\" width=\"161\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/cahss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/08\/EllsworthJane-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/cahss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/08\/EllsworthJane-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ewu.edu\/cahss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/08\/EllsworthJane.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 161px) 100vw, 161px\" \/><\/a> internationally on modern and historical clarinets as a professional clarinetist.
