An internship can be a great way to gain experience, but taking an unpaid internship, relocating, or covering additional expenses isn\u2019t always financially possible.<\/p>\n
The Steve Blewett Student Internship Endowment may be able to help.<\/strong><\/p>\n The endowment provides stipends to eligible EWU students pursuing internships in Public Relations, Communication Studies, and Journalism<\/strong>. Funding can help reduce financial barriers that might otherwise keep you from pursuing an internship, including expenses like housing, travel, or taking time away from a paying job.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preference is given to students who:<\/p>\n You do not need to have your internship completely figured out before getting started.<\/strong> If you\u2019re interested in an internship but aren\u2019t sure where to look, the EWU Career Center can help you explore opportunities and navigate the process.<\/p>\n Connect with the EWU Internship Coordinator at the Career Center for help finding an internship and learning more about the stipend.<\/p>\n Once you are in the process of securing an internship, complete the Steve Blewett Student Internship Endowment application.<\/p>\n Find the form Here<\/a> Application deadline: Friday, October 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n Recipients will be notified by Friday, October 9, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t let the cost of an internship be the reason you have to pass on an opportunity.
