Under the direct supervision of dental hygienists and dentists<\/span>, students from the EWU Dental Hygiene program provide preventive and restorative services in a welcoming environment.<\/p>\n Our self-supporting, nonprofit teaching clinic is on the EWU campus in Spokane. However, you are ultimately responsible for any fees incurred, and payment for services is due on the day treatment begins<\/strong>. ","copy":" We accept the following insurances and are continually working to add more options to better serve our patients:<\/p>\n Our clinic offers all services that a licensed dental hygienist can perform in the state of Washington, as well as comprehensive evaluations by a licensed dentist.<\/span><\/p>\n New adult patients (ages 18 and above) receive a full set of X-rays and a comprehensive dental examination at their first appointment. Other services include:<\/p>\n We do not provide sedation or emergency treatment <\/b>for extractions, toothaches, infections, missing teeth, root canals, or crowns. If a service cannot be performed in our clinic, the supervising dentist will recommend a referral. Please inform your regular dentist of any referrals.<\/p>\n Our clinic does not replace a private dental practice as your dental home. The teaching environment may not suit all patients. Completing a dental exam, X-rays, and cleaning can take between two and five appointments, depending on the level of care needed. If fillings are recommended, additional appointments will be necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n We appreciate your patience, as it allows dental hygiene students to gain valuable real-world experience.
