Caring for People Across the Continuum of Life<\/h2>\n

\"College<\/a>Eastern Washington University launched a Bachelor of Science in Nursing<\/a> program in fall 2023. The program, resulting from extensive planning and collaboration with healthcare industry partners, is designed to prepare nurses to meet the diverse healthcare needs region-wide.<\/p>\n

The Nursing BSN degree provides transformative educational experiences to create a culture of excellence in the art and science of nursing. The program will prepare students for a rewarding career in nursing at a time when there is a critical shortage of nurses throughout the state and nation. Our graduates will be lifelong learners prepared to practice with integrity and compassion as they care for people across their lifespans in various healthcare settings.<\/p>\n

The Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 application closed on February 5th.\u00a0 The EWU School of Nursing Admissions Committee is actively reviewing all submitted applications.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Personalized Instruction:<\/strong> Professors with extensive nursing expertise will lead small-size classes enhanced by clinical placements and simulation technology to ready students for a wide range of real-world scenarios.<\/p>\n

Collaboration:<\/strong> Eastern\u2019s nursing program is housed inside the\u00a0SIERR Building<\/a> in the University District, and is part of the growing\u00a0\u201cHealth Peninsula<\/a>\u201d in Spokane.\u00a0This unique location creates the optimal hub for research, development and advancement of health sciences \u2014 and builds upon partnerships with nearby hospitals, clinics and health education centers to create a comprehensive learning experience.<\/p>\n

Holistic Admission: <\/strong>Healthcare providers overwhelmingly expressed a need for more diversity in nursing to better serve patients from a variety of backgrounds. EWU\u2019s Nursing Program looks beyond standardized test scores and GPA to assess applicants based on the whole of their education, community service and personal experience.<\/p>\n

A degree from EWU is within your financial reach. EWU has the lowest in-state tuition<\/strong> of any public university in Washington.<\/p>\n

Nursing students receive approximately $166,600 in scholarships<\/strong> each year\u2014just one part of the $9.7 million<\/strong> EWU awards annually to nearly 1,500 students through a single application. And the best part? Scholarships are free money you don\u2019t have to pay back.<\/p>\n

In addition, ROTC offers full-tuition scholarships<\/strong><\/a> for Pre-Nursing and Nursing students at EWU. After graduation, recipients serve in a military hospital, caring for U.S. Army soldiers and their families.<\/p>\n
